In April 2016, Duke Raleigh Hospital held its third All Staff Event. This event was created for the hospital’s physicians, staff and volunteers with a goal to motivate and inspire all employees to embrace a unique system-wide commitment to transforming health care by becoming the best place to work, practice medicine and receive care. The All Staff videos created by Contrast Creative are integral to the enhancing employee engagement as a means to improve the patient experience. In “The Graduation: A Story of Last Wishes,” Stephany Tucker’s greatest wish was to watch his son graduate from high school. But after an unexpected cancer diagnosis, it appears Tucker will miss this pivotal moment in his son’s life. Undeterred by circumstance, his Duke Raleigh Hospital care team–in a show of incredible kindness and humanity–sprung into action and made a dream come true.
Result
“The Graduation: A Story of Last Wishes” story was presented at the 2016 Duke Raleigh Hospital All Staff Event to an audience of hospital employees. It continues to have a meaningful impact on Duke Raleigh Hospital employees by helping them connect hospital priorities with the honor of being able to serve patients during their greatest time of need.
