Sometimes we are rewarded for our efforts. The truth is that we’re always more excited for our clients than for us. An award—at least the way we perceive it—means the message our client aimed to convey struck a chord with someone. Whether it was the story we shaped and conveyed or the unique visual our designers created, it is acknowledgment that we’re on the right track, perhaps even leading the way in storytelling and communication.
In spring 2013, the Contrast Creative team was notified that it had received a number of awards. These awards were bestowed upon projects that we already knew were pretty special. The majority of the awards were for patient stories that we produced for Duke University Hospital’s annual All Staff Event. During the course of producing these videos, we met some amazing people who made the job of video creation a joy. In addition, a heart disease prevention PSA called, “The Signs Are Everywhere,” rounded out the latest batch of accolades.

Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs and emerging technologies. Hermes Creative Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
Also this spring, Contrast captured a Healthcare Advertising Award sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report as well as an Aster Award, which honors excellence in medical marketing.
