Contrast Creative Still on Top
12.01.10
After more than 12 years in business, Contrast Creative is still creating some of its best work, according to the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals and the International Academy of Visual Arts. In November 2010, the AMCP honored Contrast with eight prestigious MarCom awards. And the IAVA bestowed an additional five awards to Contrast.
“Our team worked harder than ever – creating projects for Duke University Hospital, Alamance Regional Medical Center, UNC Wilmington, George Washington University Hospital, and Duke Raleigh Cancer Center to name a few,” says Creative Director Kathleen McDonald. “We truly honor our team’s combined skills and relentless enthusiasm that generated some of our best work in 2010.”
The MarCom Awards is an international competition for marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs and print, visual and audio materials. This year there were over 5,000 entries from the United States and abroad. Contrast Creative won four platinum, two gold and two honorable mention awards. Entries receiving scores between 90-100 points are designated as Platinum winners.
Our Platinum award winners included a 15 Year Celebration video and Inspiring Care TV commercials, both produced for Alamance Regional Medical Center; The GWU Hospital Robot TV Commercial and a capital campaign video created for UNC Wilmington. Our gold winners included a video that was presented on the NASDAQ jumbotron located in New York City’s Times Square for Talecris Biotherapeutics initial public offering as well as patients stories video produced for Duke University Hospital.
The International Davey Awards, with over 4,000 entries annually, specifically honors smaller organizations that “derive their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets.” “It has been a challenging time for the communications industry given the current economic climate,” explains Contrast President Tim Travitz. “But our team always delivers the highest quality production regardless of the budget assigned to a particular project.”
Our Silver award winners included Inspiring Care TV commercials and an executive profile video for Alamance Regional, The GWU Hospital Robot TV Commercial, a video featuring the Duke Raleigh Cancer Center as well as an award for Contrast Creative’s uniquely designed E-Blast marketing Campaign.
