Contrast Creative Brochure Wins Top Industry Honors

The plan was simple—do something different. Throw out all the rules and make their own. That’s how Contrast Creative VP and Creative Director Kathleen McDonald approached the re-branding of Contrast Creative’s marketing print materials.

“We went into the project with the mindset that there were limitless boundaries in its design, copy, and creation. The end result was a brochure that uses a large array of artistic mediums,” explains McDonald. “Every page combines typography, illustration, graphic design, dynamic photography and a vibrant color scheme. The brochure is truly a beautiful piece of artwork that really defines Contrast Creative.”

The result are dynamic print pieces (one of which focuses solely on Contrast’s medical communications specialty) that highlight the companies areas of expertise, including media production, print graphic, animation, and multimedia.

The Contrast print materials are capturing top industry awards. To date, the Contrast brochure has won a gold MarCom Award, bronze Summit Award, and a silver Davey Award. The MarCom, Summit, and Davey Awards are all international awards competitions recognizing creative excellence in marketing and communication programs and materials.

“I was ecstatic to hear that the brochure won so many awards. We all put so much time into its creation,” says McDonald. “It feels amazing to be recognized with such praise.”

The design team are taking little time to revel in their winnings since they are too busy working on an array of client’s design and print projects. “I believe that exceptional design is created by utilizing a broad range of artistic mediums in an unconventional way,” McDonald says. “At Contrast, we apply this train of thought to our client’s projects. We challenge them to think outside the box and use design that allows them to standout amongst their competition.”
