These programs should instill cultural competence that can positively impact communication, processes, and work environments that ensure the equitable treatment of all persons. Understanding why diversity and inclusion are important, and obtaining the knowledge, skills and perspective to work successfully together towards common goals is more critical than ever.
Challenge
The Duke University Office for Institutional Equity wished to create a video that would serve as a critical first step in fostering and nurturing a diverse, dynamic and inclusive community for its 36,000 employees from both Duke University and Duke University Health System.
Results
The Duke Diversity and Inclusion video is providing an impactful and compelling foundation for Duke University and Duke Health’s larger diversity and inclusion educational program. The video is helping to create a climate where everyone feels valued, respected and included, while understanding their unique role and responsibility in making that happen.
