Each year 99,000 people die in US hospitals from healthcare associated infections that cost the US healthcare system as much as $33 billion. Contrast Creative was contracted by The Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET), which is the not-for-profit research and educational affiliate of the American Hospital Association (AHA), and the Agency for Healthcare and Research Quality (AHRQ) to develop a comprehensive unit-based safety (CUSP) toolkit that would help reduce infections throughout the nation’s healthcare systems.
Contrast Creative created a brand that not only reflected the initiative’s goals of reducing infection through teamwork, but also complimented the brands of the multiple agencies involved. Contrast additionally supported the brand through the development of Powerpoint templates, packaging and brochures for the packages that were to be sent to hospitals participating in the program. Contrast Creative’s partnership with HRET and AHRQ has continued to grow through additional projects that build upon the vital effort to positively impact patient safety in our nation’s hospitals.
